As a mom of a 1st grader, I know how important it is to keep those little minds engaged and entertained throughout the school day. We have to pack a daily lunch and snack for school every day, so it’s become a ritual of mine to slide in a lunchbox note.

And when the spring season rolls around I love adding in funny Easter jokes and Easter riddles with his lunch. It’s a tradition that started when he was in kindergarten (he needed a little help to read the jokes), and now, I can’t imagine sending him off to school without a little lunchbox joke for kids to get a laugh out of him and if he wants, he can share them with friends.

Why Use Lunchbox Jokes

I used to think that a simple lunchbox joke for kids was just a small, silly addition to school lunch. But I quickly learned that these little notes can mean so much more.

They add a little laughter and brighten the school day, but they can also provide a small moment of connection between you and your kids.

As much as we want our kids to feel independent and confident at school, we also want them to feel the love and support of home, right?

These jokes are a way for parents to remind their kids that we’re always thinking of them even when they’re out there “crushing” the school day.

Printable Easter Lunchbox Jokes

Easter Lunch Jokes For Kids with funny easter jokes, food jokes, cute jokes, and lunch notes for third graders from kids' lunch notes from mom this April.

The silly Easter riddles aka Easter lunchbox jokes are just challenging enough to make him giggle while giving him a tiny brain workout.

Easter-themed printable lunchbox notes will add a little seasonal fun to your kid’s lunch this spring.

Print them out on cardstock paper and laminate each. They can get a little messy since they’re reading them during lunch. If you laminate them, they are much easier to wipe off and you’ll have them longer.

Slide them into your kid’s lunchbox, or slip them into a pocket of their backpack.

They’re perfect for first graders and even your third grader. I kept them lighthearted and easy to read.

Here are a few jokes included in the printable:

  1. Knock knock. Who’s there? Egg. Egg who?

Egg-xited to see me?

  1. What do you get if you cross a bee and a bunny?
    A honey bunny!
  2. What kind of music do Bunnies like?
    Hip-hop!

The best part, they’re all printable lunchbox notes you can keep on hand and use year after year. The colors match the fun and excitement of Easter and spring, and they are just the right size to fit in lunchboxes.

It’s those little extra touches that really make lunchtime so much more special.

Tips for Using Lunchbox Jokes with Your Kids

Packing lunch is one of those daily chores that can feel like a boring routine, but these small additions can make it a little bit more fun.

Here are a few tips for making the most out of Easter lunchbox jokes:

  1. Get Creative with the Presentation: I like to get creative with how I present the jokes. Sometimes, I’ll stick them inside a plastic egg for an extra surprise. LOL.
  2. Sharing is Caring: Let them know it’s ok to share the jokes with their friends at lunch. Ask them to guess the punchline or add their own funny twist to the joke. It becomes a fun part of their day that they can share with others.
